"Long Sentence Ordered in '06 Attempted Robbery" by Ernesto Londono
Mariana C. Cordier successfully defends her client accused of attempted murder for allegedly participating in a gun battle over an armored car in Silver Spring, Maryland. Her client was aquitted by a Montgomery County jury while his co-defendant was found guilty by the same jury and received 110 years. She told reporters that the prosecution did not have enough evidence to implicate him in the crime and a Montgomery County jury agreed.

Alexander Cordier successfully defends a client accused by a Baltimore man who said he used a slingshot to fire a missile during a road rage incident on I-70. The case was placed on an inactive docket and is expected to be dismissed from his record after one year.

Mariana C. Cordier successfully negotiated a plea bargain for client where in exchange prosecutors dropped felony charges of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Mariana Cordier said her client did not participate in the planning of the robbery but acknowledged guilt because he attended what assistant state's attorney Tom DeGonia called a post-robbery "pizza party" and accepted $40 of the $463 taken in the heist.
